FAQ’s

  1. How to get there?

Since we are based in Puerto Guadal, the closest airport is Balmaceda (BBA); international travelers have to first get to Santiago de Chile Airport (SCL), then take a domestic flight (SKY, JETSMART or LATAM) to get to Balmaceda. Therefore it is recommended to book your international and domestic flights in advance due to low availability of domestic flights. From BBA its a 4-6 hour drive (250 kms) to get to Puerto Guadal. The main road is known as the Carretera Austral (Ruta 7) is mostly unpaved south of Cerro Castillo. Every road tripper’s dream to journey through snow-capped mountains, national parks, huge lakes, lagoons, rivers, tiny towns and other hidden treasures. Usually people organize their own transport, if not, we will provide transport for you. Puerto Guadal is a tranquil small town on the lake with around 500 inhabitants. Although small it buzzes with cafes, local breweries, artisan markets, gauchos moving around by horse, regional music and dance. A perfect base since its in the center of all the attractive features of this region.
